Back from Beijing

We spent a week in Beijing and loved it every much!!

the food, the architecture, the people...(well not so much with the people)
We both has a bit of a flu with us so bare with me. I'll try to add more about it asap.

So i probably will not able to finish the sample test of 2006 World Puzzle Championship, I'll be happy if I get any of them solved (not to mention the time limit)

this is our first family badminton session on 08-19-2006 9:30-11:00PM .. yes.. PM...
I didn't get to do a lot of shots at various time, but my mom was there not playing. And tony is there, in the first picture resting.

I was chained to the wall and no rackets were offered to me because they don't think Cha-siu can handle it. too bad...

oh, and I guess I know why Alex likes badminton. They killed like 1/2 dozen birdies that night.

Just found more photos of J in the shoei box. This is very typical of him. His favorites so far are: Panasonic TV box, anything from Ikea, amazon.com's continuous supply of boxes, FedEX, and this Shoei box that seems to be constantly in the bedroom.

Some say the baby looked like a peanut, I prefer jelly bean (cotton candy flavor!) =)

She is about 8w-4d old, 20mm. (yes, for those who will be participating in the pool next year... better jog down notes and stay updated!)

Alex and I were able to see the heartbeat, hands and legs when we squinch our eyes really hard. And she was nice enough to do a little body swiggle for us to say hi!! (no, she didn't really wave her hands and things)

it was so hot J decided to sink into the coolest part of the house: the sink ( the toilet is the water bowl, can't sleep in that)

This 110 degree heat wave in Hercules had everyone acting strange. Even in Albertson's where their bathrooms's paper towel machines are supplied with an unaccessible box of tissue, (no matter how many time you try to pull the trigger) You see the tissue, you can't get to the tissue.

looking back a bit - Macao

Macao, that's where I was born and raised for almost 1/3 of my life. While I have spend most of my time here in the States, this little town was never forgotten. It will be 20 years since my leave from my home town next year around this time. I would like to contribute little bits and traces of my family and my existence in this little town.
Above is an aerial map of the area of Macao where I lived and grew up.

Hopefully this segment of blog will end with a trip visit back to Macao.

these are taken at 4:00 pm, now it's about 95? I don't know. But everyone of us is napping. (except our turtle who is now working on escaping from J) or QB, she decided to look at the camera til I leave. Yes, i nap too, but I dont know how to nap n take a picture of my own nap.

Two months anniversary!

YAI-eee!! Got them (Basil and Hulk) for 2 months now! They grew at least 25% of their size! and really adjusting to my never washed tank!!

Cars - fun!

Yes, immediately after watching Cars in AMC Emeryville this weekend. We drove to Radiator Spring and had a wonderful time there! It was a lot of fun!

Unfortunately, while we were having fun on the road, we missed the biggest event in Union City of Calif.: DWR warehouse sale!!! wwooooooo.. woooooooo....waaah!!
